Great Sites
I was talking to Donna and Emma, some friends from Uni, and I said I would give them a list of some good sites I’ve found or that have been recommended to me. Here they are:
- Preschool and Kindergarten Activities (Enchanted Learning.com)
- Read books to your kids ONLINE! (Fun Brain)
- Elements of good teaching (Doug Shaw) I found this one when I was trying to google a guy at my school, but this guy is a teacher as well, and he has lots of great stuff! Go to his homepage for lots of interesting things.
- Teaching maths to visually impaired students.
- The Linguistics fun page!
- The Word detective. Not so much for early childhood, but a great site to have in your bookmarks.
- Education Place.
- Sites for teachers. This is the jackpot. Heaven.
- Rubistar. Create Rubrics for your Project-Based Learning Activities.
- Graphic Organisers. These would be great just to keep our Uni lecturers happy! But it’s a great resource for all the time.
- More Graphic Organisers…
- Fable Vision. An exciting place to take kids, and to explore for yourself. Read books online from here and all sorts of things.
- Clip Art. Everyone needs a good database of clip art! Here is some.
- More Clip Art…
- Puzzle Maker. Make your own puzzles etc. online and then just print them off! All the lines are straight and the answers are right!
- Connected Learning. This is a good site. I haven’t looked around it much, but it has some good ideas I think.
- PKIC Wiki. This is one from my Uni, and it’s really quite good- full of lots of ideas and sites to go to.
- Smart Study Strategies. This is about the smart pizza, it gives you activites you could do to encourage each different ’smart’.
There are heaps more, but I’m to tired to post them. I know it’s hard to believe that a blogger would be to tired, but it’s true. Besides, if I tell you them all now you won’t come back looking for more!!!
If you have any other good teaching sites then comment them at the end so that we can all see them! Thanks.
