When excitment grips you…

I love it when Luke gets excited. When he believes in things.

One of these things is my new Teaching Talia blog, which I started, and announced in my last post as a wordpress.com blog. Luke has read what I am writing, and listens to how excited I get coming home from work every day telling him about everything I’ve done online that day. Because of this yesterday he announced that he would buy me a present!

The present was (another) domain (to add to my collection)! Teachingtalia.com! His reason for buying it was simple- he had caught my vision, and he wanted to contribute in any way he could. Being a pro at web design (check out the SWEET youth site he made- I helped) he has helped me by not only using his spending money to buy the domain for me (!!) but also installing all my favourite plug-ins like wordpress.com stats, google analytics, and all-in-one SEO pack, and choosing a professional theme for me etc. This is only the tip of the ice-berg for him really, he has helped me a lot more ways, but it made me realise…

When excitement grips you… things change. People are more willing to do things, you are more willing to put in the hard yards, people are more willing to support you, to help you, to throw money and resources at you. Excitement is really a powerful thing!

And this gets me thinking WE SHOULD BE EXCITED MORE OFTEN, but not about anything, about  important things. Your excitement will capture other people’s attention and other people’s excitment, and you could end up changing the world…

So, what are you excited about??
