Actions Speak Louder Than Words
Some of you may know that I’m not very good at verbally expressing how I feel. None know this quite as well as my husband, who is always reminding me to tell him how I feel etc.
I do however speak loudly with my hands, i.e. the things I do. I love Luke, and am remiss that I don’t verbally express my love every day, but I do try to show him.
It’s his birthday tomorrow, and he’s turning 21. I have planned an entire day of activities for him (because I will be at work). Things to find, do, explore, take photos of. People to meet… etc. I am SO excited about this, and am hoping that he will totally get into the spirit of it and have lots of fun! I guess knowing that I do show Luke that I love him in my own special way makes me feel better about the fact that I just don’t think to say it sometimes.
Love languages are an interesting subject. Touch, words, gifts, acts of service, and quality time are the love languages according to Gary Chapman (great book, definitely recommend it). As I looked through the quiz section and found out my love language (receiving gifts and/or words of affirmation), I really struggled to think about the answer to the second quiz entitled ‘The Five Languages of Apology’. I couldn’t for the life of me answer it.
If anyone does the quiz and works out their love language/ apology language then comment me to let me know. I’m really interested to see what everyone’s is!
