The Stress Is Building Up.
I am starting to feel the stress of a few different things building up. So bare with me as I let you all know what’s happening, and possibly ask for your help…
MOVING
3 more weekends and then a half week and we need to be out of our place. I have already booked the carpet cleaner (Mr Woods- who was VERY suprised that I was booking SO early), but the rest I really have to do myself. Am contemplating hiring someone to clean, as I really don’t have time. Last time Luke moved out of his place we didn’t do so well cleaning, and we missed out on getting some of our bond money back. Rental agents are SO strict with cleaning.
Maybe I could just get someone to clean the oven, because I’m scared of it…
OR, I was thinking that if any of my local friends are reading this, you might be available on some nights, or even during a day of the week between the 2nd of May to the 7th of May… I don’t really know how I will get it all done. So help would be appreciated!!
Luke is looking after some packing, as am I currently, after work. So packing is under control.
MY BIRTHDAY
I am BIG on Birthdays, and this year I’m turning 21!! I want to have a party, and I originally wanted to have it at our new house. I am thinking that I could still do that- just not let anyone inside because it won’t be painted or anything yet!! I need to decide so that I can send out invites.
Another option is to post-pone the party a bit, and just do something with my family on my birthday night (the 27th of May), and with friends (Ra, Az, Kimmy and others) on the weekend? Just like a little bbq at the beach or something. Problem is what to do with friends from different places who don’t really know each other? At a big party this is okay, but at a small bbq, not so good?
Let me know what you think I should do in the comments.
WORK
There’s this new thing that I have to do at work- it should be relatively simple, and it was explained to me (what I needed to do) about two weeks ago. The time has come for me to actually DO IT, and I realise I have no idea how to start. I am thinking that with this little option I just need to bite the bullet and call up the lady who use to do it… Wish me luck!
PRAC
I had a meeting the other day with my prac teacher for the school I’m going too. It should be all good- but I am just a little nervous, because there isn’t much planning time… fingers crossed I can do really well, and that I will be confident in the classroom. I am looking at going in to the class for the first time this Friday and am suprisingly nervous about it.
MONEY
Ah, money. It’s always a worry, isn’t it?! Moving is going to cost us a bit- cleaning expenses, days off etc. Plus we want to buy a dishwasher…
With prac coming up as well I will be off work for 6 weeks. I hate to even think of prac because I get a stress twitch just thinking about it. We will have to be mighty frugal during this time… Frugal is the right word, yeah?

Throw the big party, have it at your new place. Don’t be embaressed that it isn’t painted or anything yet, people know that you are a young couple trying to get your first home put together and no one is going to mind and they’ll like the idea that they got a sneak peek before it was finished……….. oh and ask for presents - ask for gift vouchers for paint and hardware places again people will be tickled with the idea that they’ve helped you getting your new place together.

An update is that I have figured the work thing out all by myself!! So I am quite glad about that.
And you’re right- it won’t matter about out place.
It’s so nice when the stress drips off…!

THE MOVING
I’m a bit stressed about this too. I’ve packed a little bit already but obviously can’t help tonight.
THE BIRTHDAY
I think you should have a family thing ON your birthday, and postpone a BIG MASSIVE HUGE party that can be our housewarming as well. The party should be BIG, MASSIVE and HUGE. Invite EVERYONE (that you know).
THE WORK
Bullet biting avoiding, I hear.
THE PRAC
You’ll be fine - you’re a great teacher (err… learning manager). I’m looking forward to my prac.
THE MONEY
Yes, frugal is the right word. VERY frugal. Should be interesting. Fun even (maybe?). We’ll get through it.
THE GODFATHER
I’ve been listening to the soundtrack all day and have decided that You, Rhys, Ra(chel), Az(-z, +aron), Rhys, Bekky, Carmen, Jeff, Jordan and I are going to have a three-night in a row Godfather watching party. Either at our new house, or in a different house each night. And we should dress up.

WOW Talia i feel stressed after reading that. Don’t worry about prac, You will rock and if you want ANY resources or help planning or anything give me a call and come over and I’ll get you stacks of stuff together.
Cleaning, if you have a day or night when you just want to get stuck right into it - or even a few different days/nights, give me a call and me (and jeff if he’s free) will come over to help! Any help that you need just call!!!!!
And party wise, if you want to cut down the costs of a big party, whenever you decide to have it than just ask everyone to bring a big plate of food to share. If you invite heaps of people you’ll get heaps of food!!!!!!

oh my gosh. I LOVE lukes Godfather idea. especially since I am invited TWICE! (an i havent seen ANY Godfather movies yet).
