Living in a black hole

I feel a little like I am living in a black hole at the moment.

You’ll know from a previous post that I’ve stopped working at JLE, started my pre-internship, and have been working out all my Centerlink stuff.

I’m on a new start allowance, which means I have to look for a job, because I can’t go on Austudy or whatever because I’m only doing 1 subject. Centerlink put on my file that I have to look for a full time job (not ideal, or practical, as I am doing school 8-4, Mon-Fri). But when I went in to my job search helper person today they told me that she was changing my file, because right now I only want casual work (or no work as the case may be).

I feel like when I go back into Centerlink tomorrow to hand in my form they will tell me that I am meant to be looking for full time work. But fingers crossed it all goes under their radar and I just get the money we need to survive. $400 a week won’t be much, but that’s what Luke and I get from Centerlink combined…

So if you could all hope/ pray that I DON’T get a job, that’d be great. I really don’t need life to get more complicated at the moment!

Ahhh centrelink really is evil and complicated. I know what you mean about things getting changed when you take the forms in! I will definatly pray for you guys but I’m certain that God is going to take care of you both.
Much Love to you both xox

You’ll have a couple of months up your sleeve before they really get on your case about it anyhow. Still it’s a pain in the backside.

hope it all works out for you.

why don’t you go to Open Learning pick a easy subject something you like and do it in your spare time via correspondence - it qualifies as a subject for Austudy and the cost is minimal + you get more qualifications

If only I could. I have zero spare time at the moment, and zero money- hence the whole centerlink thing. :-(
