On my desk is…

October 30th, 2008 -- Posted in on my desk | 6 Comments »

On my desk this week is my iPhone, a cold cup of tea, because I obsessively drink it, but do NOT drink it cold (like kim). :-P

Also, an elephant luke bought me at coolum for our anniversary weekend. And my credit card, cause I was buying stuff for hell cheap on ‘catch of the day’.

Oh, and my flash drives, which are about to be replaced with a brand spanking new 16 gig one!!

I thought I would also share with you my thong which Shadow (Pepper’s brother, and Rachel Aaron’s puppy) ate the other night while we were planning our trip to Sydney. Looks like I will have to buy new thongs while I am down there!!

My Garden Pics…

A pictures says a thousand words, so here are some pictures of my new garden.

Here are some tomato babies!!
Tomatos

Some other tomatos live in the garden part. They’re here. Also in here is a cucumber plant next to it (hard to see), and on the bottom level is lettuce, basil and tyme.

Close up of the baby lettuce!! SO cute!

Lettuce

We had a problem with the side of our house- it is majorly ugly. It’s tin, so we can’t put dirt up against it or it’ll rust, and we can’t dig out the dirt already there, cause it’s REALLY hard. SO we’ve put these tires there.

They look pretty cool next to each other (goes with the tin look), and will look better when there’s more of them.

They’re full of soil, so the roots can mess around in there for a while, and then when they’re stronger they can make it down into the hard soil.

tyres

Lemon basil and cute flowers by the door.

My zuchini plant! They’re yellow zuchinis and are grwoing swimmingly. I’m actually going to pretty well leave these to scurry all over the feild…

Anniversary camping weekend

October 26th, 2008 -- Posted in 1Wedding/Marriage | 1 Comment »

Friday night luke and I set off to coolum to go camping. It was quite a nice time-fish and chips on the beach, and an early night sleep.

Saturday was a lazy morning- and we quickly packed up at about 2pm when it started to rain!

The rain wasn’t bad, so we hung out around coolum. Rachel had messeged us asking us if we wanted to go to the drive in movies out at Wonga (past Gympie) so we went on an adventure through the back roads to gympie stopping at some botanical gardens, and the north arm rifle club on the way.

We chilled out on gympie and had pizza for dinner. At the drive-ins we watched Beverly hills chiuaua (read: the most fugly annoying dogs on the planet- no idea how to spell the pests name- and don’t want to) and then Wall-e.

Can I take a moment to say how absolutely crap-a-doodles that beverly rat-dog movie is. PEOPLE who act like that stuck up bimbo character annoy and appaul me, let alone a dog… Eugh.

Had fun paying it out with the boys though.

Wall-e is a cute movie- but luke and I had allready seen it at the movies and so just made out and slept.

I missed pepper heaps, but didn’t see her till after church this morning, then after the wedding we went to. She’s snuggled up next to me now though. :D

On my desk

So kim (link: turtleclubqueen.blogspot.com) posts what’s on her desk every week. I think you’re meant to do it on Wednesdays… Here’s my first attempt, two days late, but lets be serious, I’ll probably end up doing this on every day other then Wednesday…

My desk: 2 500gig external hard drives. 1 personal, 1 for work. A cute dinosaur… Plenty of post it notes. Those post-it’s are from a girl I taught this year, cute kid.

Special Request…

By special request I’ve removed the twitter posts from my blog.

I guess this means I will have to be a more active blogger… (don’t count on it).

Photos from making my garden on the weekend:

Putting soil in…

We had tomato plants growing near the sewage!! How crazy is that!!
