2010: Handmade

Wow, welcome 2010! Earlier in the week, Luke and I sat down and had a talk about what our goals are this year for our little family. What do we want to acheive, what do we want to focus on as a family, what do we hope to have achieved by 2011? It was a really good process for us to work though, and I think it’s great for us to both be on the same page. We’re definitely keeping in mind that our plans aren’t always God’s plans- so we’re going to be purposefully listening to what he has to say, and moving in that direction, even if it’s not what we wrote on the board!

My word for 2010 is “Handmade”- Looking at clothes, food, relationships, attitude, life decorations, God, relationships etc. If you’re interested I can do a post on what “Handmade Relationships” are to me etc. Leave a comment to let me know.

My personal all-round focus for this year is going to be “Taking Big Steps Forward” In all the areas of my life I want to be not just walking forward, or staying in the same place, but making BIG steps forward. I’m anticiapting that this will take a fair amount of persistance, mercy, commitment, and fear conquering:- I’m ready.

I’ll be trialling a few new things on the blog too, including:

…This week in 2010… (At least one photo and some sort of semi-deep thought on the past week)
…Goals Sidebar… (I’ll be putting my 23 by 23 goals in the sidebar, as well as a reminder to take ‘big steps forward’. Hopefully this will keep me accountable.)

You might also notice a few changes to the theme I’m using as well. I’d love your feedback on the header…
