About

On the 6th of October, 2007 I married Luke Alexander Carbis. What followed was a honeymoon in Bali, a change of name, moving out of my parents house and into my own, cooking dinner, learning to live with someone else, working, sharing, and an assortment of other things!

This blog is in response to the inevitable question, “How’s married life” and my always dull response, “Basically the same as regular life…”

This blog details some of the more funny/ interesting things that happen to me as a twenty-something newlywed living out of home for the first time.

My site use to be called 87 Purple Elephants. Why? Well, I was born in 1987, hence the 87. Purple Elephants… I don’t remember why it’s Purple Elephants… I guess just because I love elephants, and purple is my favourite colour.

I have a painting called 87purple elephants. It is  part of a trio, with 64 Pink Hippos, and 18 Blue Rhinos.

So I guess you could say that I have a things for elephants, and I just sort of got on a bit of a tangent with it!!

I am 21 years old.
I am married. To Luke.

I love my family.
I have 3 brothers. Rhys. Hayden. Amon.

I spend time with God.
I tell him stuff.

Peter pan is magical.

I like butterflies.
And fairies.

I have use to have a purple elephant and pink hippo on my roof.
I heart elephants.

I love rainbows
And taking photos (and being in them).

I like mascara.

I like stationary.

I love my room house and the way that it’s decorated.

I love my friends.

I use ubuntu, XP and OSX. Yes, all of them.

I like reading. More so buying pretty books.

I like spending time with my family.

I like spending time with my extended family.

I am a geek.

I am excited.

I love masked balls.

I love to watch Ever After.

My favourite movie is Casablanca.

My Fair Lady, Pride & Prejudice, Excess Baggage, Marie Antoinette.

Men are from Mars.

Women are from Venus.

Thank you God that Luke loves me no matter what.

Thank you that he always supports and cares for me.
