It was Bekky’s 21st on Easter, so she had her part last Saturday night. It was a very fun night, with EXCELLENT food. Luke and I are glad we live so close to the restaurant, because we will definitely be going back!!
I made this collage on scrapblog.com . It’s very cool, and a great (cheaper) alternative to real life scrapbooking. But less good because it’s not real… But is definitely more creative then just putting them on facebook!!

I feel like in the last year I have gone from being one of the ‘rare’ people I knew with a serious boyfriend, to being inundated with friends who are getting/ or now are married! In my thoughts on this I realised that this is only half true. My recent revelation has been that ‘couples’ attract ‘couples’. It’s not that my ‘group’ that I would mainly hang out with has suddenly drunk some funny water, it’s more that I am finding more people, more couples, that both Luke and I can hang out with.
In all honesty, being married is really quite different to being single. And being married now gives me a new way to connect to people, which I really appreciate.
I can think of a number of single friends I have who I love to hang out with, and I am really thankful for those relationships as well, because it means that I can be ‘just me’.
I think the honest truth of it is that couples attract couples. When Luke and I are with another couple we talk about more ‘together’ things, but when I am with single friends we talk about boys and movies and things like that.
This is of course, all with the exception of Pete, who finds that he is only meets married/ taken people.

You know how they say “always a bridesmaid, never a bride?” well I thought that the opposite would be true for me, especially considering I never had my own bridesmaids. But, but beautiful friend Sarah who just got engaged on Valentine’s Day honoured me yesterday afternoon by asking me to be one of her bridesmaids!
I was SO SO wrapped I didn’t know what to do! I am so excited for her. Wedding are such beautiful, brilliant things, and I am definitely looking forward to accompanying her on her journey.
Of course, I will have to make sure I don’t say to many, “I did ….” and “You might be suprised, I thought… “. And you get the idea. I want this to be her day, her time, and I just want to watch her bask in it, and support her as much as I can!!
Hopefully this means that i can help out with the Hens night- one of my favourite parts of engagements/ weddings! Get ready Sarah for some fun, and very memorable times!!
Hopefully I will have my SLR by then as well, so I can take lots of brilliant snaps!!
So just wanted you all to know that I am so so excited about this, and that I am incredible blessed to have such a beautiful friend! I am sure that her and Dean will be very, very happy!

One of my favourite things is having conversations with Luke and Rhys. They are always interesting, thought provoking, controversial and non judgmental.
Last Sunday night after church we had one of these conversations. It was fun to just walk around talking about church and life and God. To come up with theories etc. One of my favourite parts of the evening, I have to say, was just the friendly atmosphere. It wasn’t like Rhys was a third wheel because Luke and I are married, or anything like that. It was just really like a group of friends hanging out, and I really love and sometimes miss that.
I think that one of the things that every couple goes though is a ‘couply’ stage. Where people don’t really want to be around you because it’s never ‘you’ it’s ‘us’. I’m not saying that when you’re not in the ‘coupley’ stage that you’re not just as in love, I’m just saying that you’re probably more aware of other people, and realise that time when you’re alone is a good time to be couply, and time when you’re with others is a good time to be friendly with everyone. In saying this though, I do worry about couples who don’t ever look like they’re together… it’s all a balance really.
So the long and short of this blog is that I love just ‘hanging out’ with my husband, and with friends, sometimes just as much as I love being with him, just us, and being funny and in love.

Making new friends through blogs is GREAT, but there is something special about reading the blog of someone you know in ‘real life’.
Lately a few of my friends have started to blog (some regularly, some not, but blogging all the same)! Carmen, Rachel, Bekky, Rhys, Janessa, and of course my handsome Luke (but he’s been blogging for a while).
I love to read their journeys and actually LIVE them as well.
It’s made me realise how special and important PEOPLE are. How we should love and cherish them, and encourage the relationships that we have. We are all on a great jounrey, and it’s great to see where other people are headed!!
