2009 Round-up

So I said in a pervious post that I would try to do a little bit of a summary of the past week. Just to record my memories better, and give you an insight into life… I don’t have much to report, except to say that I’m getting more organised… planning out my posts, and food and all those things.

Last week Luke and I decided to take a break from the home group we’ve been going too, just to re-prioritse the activities we’re involved in, and re-focus. I’d love to get into playing a sport again one night, but I’m not sure where, and the cost (I know it’s never much- but we’re trying to save all our pennies) could be a set-back. Pilates on the DVD at home will have to do for now!!

I’m looking at going to a scrapbooking night on Friday nights with mum, and maybe Rachel which would be fun, and if I don’t go to that i will try to make a time each week when I can sit down and just scrap.

What sort of activites are YOU invovled in, what do people do at nights?

Here’s a little sneak peak at a tutorial I’ll be putting up soon… any guess what it is?!

Below is also a video of Luke, Pepper and my 2009. It probably doesn’t mean much to anyone other then us, so I won’t be offended if you don’t watch the whole thing. :-D
P.S they’re all in random order.

What A Weekend!

Phew. The long weekend is over. It was SO enjoyable, and JAM PACKED full of awesomeness. This post is just some photos of the weekend gone by. Some photos are just iPhone pics, but others are ones I’ve tried to do well.

Hope you enjoyed your long weekend if you were in Australia, and if you’re part of the Commonwealth, then I hope you have a great Queen’s Birthday holiday when it comes around!

Keeping Memories…

You may have noticed that I have a very cute little plugin on my blog for showing other posts that might be of interest to you, when you finsih the post you’re reading. I myself was very interested to see what other posts came up, as some of them stretch back to the beginning days of my blog, back in January 2007. I stumbled across this post which I wrote after Luke and I had been married for six months. In the post I more or less talk about how I’m managing my time now that I’m married, and where we will be when we hit the ‘one year’ mark. Well, it’s recently been that same time of year again, when we’re half way through another year of marriage (!!). I thought I would exam where I thought we’d be, where we really are, and make another prediction for the future!

Well, we’re definitely spending more time together- and making regular date nights every week, to make sure that we’re doing something special. We’re balancing life and uni and work, only now it’s Luke at Uni, and me working, and Life? Well, it just seems to happen all the time!! I have become some sort of a work-a-holic, where I need to spend more time there then I actually get paid for, but I think it is worth it. We are doing a great thing, and Luke and I always make time for each other.

I DO have my sexy Digital SLR, HAVE finished Uni, and DO have more time for blogging. Yay! We are definitely a year closer to having a baby… I think. Actually, maybe we are year further away, cause we’ve changed our minds! Haha. But we’ve been talking about it a lot more, and deciding on some foundational areas on parenting years away from having one. It is a good feeling, even if Luke doesn’t like the awesomely cute girls names I like. Ladies, HOW DO YOU CONVINCE YOUR HUSBAND ON AWESOME BABY NAMES?! I am totally in love with the name “Avery” at the moment. It is the sweetest thing I’ve heard in ages!

Haha, one of the last things I say in that post is “My other thing I am constantly working on (but getting much better at) is apologising immediately after I say something rudely, or in a huff, or hurtful. Wish me luck!!” This cracks me up, because yes, I am STILL working on this! But I am a bit better…!

Above is one my latest creations- some scan art! I love making these, because they are super beautiful and easy to make! They can also be really beautiful and meaningful. I started doing it ages ago, and think I might take it up again! Here’s one I did back then…
